Can I add trainees to an application that has already been approved?

Modified on Fri, Apr 26 at 2:39 PM

Courses approved on our Express Course Directory have two different course cost styles: group rate/flat rate or per-trainee rate.

Once an agreement is awarded, we cannot increase the total amount approved.

This means adding trainees to a "per-trainee" style course would increase the total course cost, whereas adding trainees to a group rate/flat rate would not increase the total course cost.

If the course you were approved for is a "per-trainee" style course, we are not able to add trainees, and you would need to reapply for additional trainees as long as training is at least 21 days from date of submission of the new application.

If the course you were approved for is a "group rate" style course, you should have no problem adding trainees as it does not affect the total cost of the course. In this scenario, you would not need to tell us about the added trainees until the point of reimbursement when you would indicate total number of trainees that attended*.

*For group rate courses, click here to learn more about what happens if a course exceeded the $3,000/per trainee/per course threshold at the time of application submission based on the number of trainees indicated as attending, but ended up having more trainees that pushed the course under the $3,000 threshold.
