How do I add a new course to the Express Provider Portal?

Modified on Fri, 26 Jan 2024 at 09:17 AM

Link to the Express Provider Portal can be found here: Login (site.com)

From your homepage, click the button “Create New Express Course.” Fill out the course details on the following page. We’re asking for much of the same information that you previously submitted for new courses through TrainingPro. However, please note the following key differences with submitting courses in the Express Provider Portal:

  • Keywords: enter searchable keywords that apply to your course so that businesses can find your offering more easily.
  • Climate Change, ESOL, and DEI tags: responding to a priority of the Healey-Driscoll Administration, we are now encouraging providers to tag their courses with one of these three tags if applicable to promote courses that fall into one or more of these categories. Definitions for each category can be found in our Solutions Article Library.
  • The answer to the “How,” which was previously part of the course description, now has its own section, “Format of delivery.” You can select In-Person, Virtual, or Hybrid (In-Person and Virtual).
  • You can show businesses if you offer a course in a language other than English by using the picklist provided. English is the default language selected for all courses.
  • Under “Mode of Delivery,” you can share if your course is 100% instructor led or a combination of instructor-led content and self-paced content. Note that courses that are more than 30% self-paced are not eligible for Express reimbursement.
  • You can enter both a per-trainee cost and a per-group cost on one course! Previously, you had to submit separate courses for each cost type if you offered both. (You can still have separate course listings for per-trainee and per-group cost courses so if desired.)
  • The new feature, “Save and submit later,” will automatically put all course submissions into draft mode. If you want, you can leave a course in draft mode and come back to it later to submit it for approval.
  • C-Record number: courses will now have a five-digit “C-record number,” moving away from the seven-digit “Course ID” generated by TrainingPro. Take note of the C-record number assigned to your course as that will be the identifier that business applicants will use to apply for your course.

Once you have completed entering data on your new course, click “Save and Submit Later.” This will automatically put the course in Draft mode. Once you click the button, you will be directed to a page where you will review your previously entered course description again to verify all fields are correctly filled out. Once you’ve done so, scroll down and click the button “Submit for Approval.”

Once the course is submitted, it will appear as “Under Review.” Once the Express team reviews your course and issues a determination, a notification will be sent to your email address directing you to check your Portal account.
