How do I choose an appropriate training provider for my General Program grant?

We are not allowed to recommend training vendors to avoid conflict of interest. Applicants are required to choose their own training provider(s). Applicants research training vendor by connecting with colleagues, community colleges, reviewing recent grant awards or source trainers from our Express Program - course directory. You may also consider contacting your local MassHire Workforce Board to seek guidance.  To locate your local MassHire Workforce Board, please visit: Connect with your local MassHire Workforce board.

Applicants are responsible for negotiating comparable market rates for costs of instruction and related training materials with training providers to ensure that proposed costs are reasonable, necessary, and competitive. Applicants must provide information about the qualifications and costs of training providers, as well as the selection process used to choose proposed providers in their application.

Please note: Grant funds cannot be used to pay for services provided by a member of immediate family of any company owner, investor, or employee. The immediate family includes spouse, parents and grandparents, children and grandchildren, siblings, mother-in-law and father-in-law, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, daughters-in-law and sons in law, and step members.
