My organization is eligible for up to 50% reimbursement (51-100 employees), how much funding can we receive per year?

All organizations are eligible to receive up to $15,000 in grant funds.

For a employer with 51-100 employees, they will be eligible to receive up to 50% of the individual course costs they've selected, up to $15,000 total for the year.

Assuming all other subsidy caps were within range, if course costs on a single application total $20,000, we could award/reimburse a business sized 51-100 employees up to $10,000 for their selected course(s). This would leave them with $5000 in grant funds left to be used that same calendar year.

Example:

As an example, we used the Express Program Subsidy Estimator to demonstrate a business with 51-100 employees requesting a course that's offered at a $3,000/trainee rate across 16 hours and 12 trainees.

NOTE: Full calculation steps can be viewed in our
FAQ What do the reimbursement tiers mean?

Step 1: Confirm business size is eligible for 50% reimbursement.

Step 2: Halve the lesser of either a) the request amount or b) the approved course costs.

Step 3: Determine the Cost per Hour is equal to or less than our cap of $300/hour; in this case $1,500 / 16 hours is $93.75.

Step 4: Determine the Cost per Trainee is equal to or less than our cap of $3,000 per trainee; in this case $1,500 / trainee meets this requirement.

Step 5: As this is a per-trainee rate type, multiply $1,500 by the number of trainees (12) to get $18,000 - as this is over our $15,000 / year subsidy limit, we are able to authorize a maximum reimbursement of $15,000 for this application.
