How is the new version of the Express application different from the old one?

While application questions remain largely the same, the new FormTitan application offers several improvements to streamline your experience. The simplified application process reduces the number of pages required to submit, allowing you to complete your application more quickly. The platform also features automatic eligibility calculations that determine your company's maximum reimbursement eligibility (based on the total number of Massachusetts employees and course details) within the application, providing immediate clarity on your organization's potential maximum award amount for each course on your application.

Additionally, the new application collects more comprehensive information about your organization, including:
  • your organization's website,
  • a short description of your organization,
  • a mailing address (if different from your primary address),
  • information on your organization's parent company (if applicable),
  • a more detailed count of your organization's full-time and part-time Massachusetts employees, as well as your full-time and part-time worldwide employee count (if relevant), and
  • a short description will be required if your company has undergone layoffs in the past 2 years (this won't impact eligibility but provides our team some additional insight).

A key change is that applicants are now asked to specify the exact amount of Express reimbursement they're requesting for each course that they are applying for. Previously, the application only collected the total cost applicants expected to pay for each course, and Express staff would determine and communicate the reimbursement amount in the resulting service agreement. With this enhanced application, you'll be able to know the maximum reimbursement amount you qualify for before you submit your application.
