My course is expiring, but I don't have any changes to make to it, do I still need to renew it?

All courses need to be renewed on a yearly basis. This is to ensure courses that are no longer offered don't remain on our directory indefinitely. You can find your course expiration dates to the right of the course name in your Express Provider Portal (if a course is in the stage "expired", it has passed its expiration date and needs to be renewed).

If you have a course that is expiring or expired and you do not have any changes to make to your course, we have a function that allows you to auto renew your course without it having to go through our (up to 10 day) review process. Please see below for steps to utilize this function

Step 1
Click on course record number for the course you wish to renew without changes. This will pull-up the course details section

Step 2
Scroll to the bottom of the course and click the "Update or Renew" button

Step 3
Check off the checkbox two fields above the "update or renew" button that says "renew course without changes*

*Once you check off this box, do not edit any other field in the course. This will result in you receiving an error message when you try to save. Additionally, if you make any edits in the other fields, this checkbox will disappear.
Step 4
Once the checkbox is checked off, click "Save & Submit Later". The course will automatically renew, and you should see a NEW expiration date that is one year from the current date.
