General Program Terminology: Modules and Courses

Modified on Wed, Dec 18, 2024 at 4:40 PM

The term Module describes a series of courses with a common objective or focus. A module could have one course or several.

The term Course is used to describe training on a specific topic.

Example: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access training would be considered courses grouped together in a module called Software Training.

The following graphic shows how training courses could be organized into modules.

Please Note:

  • We can accept up to 5 modules per application, but they should be used sparingly.
  • Successful applications are unlikely to use many. We expect modules to be closely related to the specific project objective identified in your application.
  • Users should avoid applications that are seeking to address a broad variety of topics that are not closely related to the specific business objective of the application.
