All applications undergo an internal staff screening and review from the WTFP Review Team.

  1. The Review team will review the submitted documents (COGs, Cover Letter, Course materials).
  2. Our Review team will run a compliance check with the Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA), Debarment Listing, Financial viability check.
  3. After the compliance is completed, the review team will do content review to ensure the application meets all necessary criteria.
  4. Applications that do not meet all necessary criteria will receive feedback and next steps from a member of the WTFP Review team.
  5. Prior to making a recommendation to the Workforce Training Fund Advisory Board, we request comments from your local Workforce Investment Board (WIB).
  6. Following completion of the internal review and comments from organization's local WIB. Recommendations are presented to the Workforce Training Fund Advisory Board, which consists of 9 members representing the general public, businesses, training providers, and labor organizations. The Advisory Board provides feedback and comments on the recommendations prior to the organizations receiving their award notification.
  7. Following the approval from the Workforce Training Fund Advisory Board, award notifications are emailed to applicants.
