At the top of the Training Plan page in your application, you will see a box for "balance remaining for the calendar year", as shown below-
The amount in the above field indicates how much Express Program funding remains available for your company for the current calendar year (defined as grants with begin dates between January 1st-December 31st of the current year). The formula used to calculate this number is $15,000 (cap for the year) - amount approved - amount requested in the review queue* + amount returned.
- The amount approved is the sum of your awards approved for this current calendar year
- The amount requested in the review queue references the amount on any additional applications that were recently submitted by your organization that have not been fully reviewed by our team. You cannot have more than $15,000 in requests and awarded amounts at one time.
- The amount returned is the sum of the funds remaining once your reimbursement request, if one is pending, has been processed and any amount associated with a course that a grantee indicates they will no longer pursue (hence, the amount is "returned"). This could also include any courses that you requested be removed from an active grant.
*Please note, the value listed in the application should generally be accurate, however there may be unique situations where the the actual value is not 100% correct, which could affect your final approval amount in the positive or negative directions. Our team will verify funds awarded and funds remaining for your organization during the review of your application.
